This isn’t just a wrap. It’s a fully customized Calloway Z06. Even better, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

Yes, this is Mardis Gras weekend, so my plans were thwarted as expected. Fortunately, some friends of our invited us to a parade on Sunday morning, so I got to have most of my Saturday to catch up on chores.

I didn’t get to work on the storage shed last weekend because of the flu. My plan was to get up early this morning and get to work. Unfortunately, the world had other plans for me. Earlier this week, the WRX started making horrible noises. With me being in Houston, I couldn’t diagnose the problem. I was really worried about it being the turbo, but it turned out to be the power steering pump. A trip to the store for some ATF, a refill to the cold full line, then cycling the pump a few times to clear the air out of the system and the zippy car was as good as new! Now it was time to get busy on the shed.

Today’s project was to c ut siding to fill the gap from the lower section to the roof. The mismatch color isn’t a big deal since it’s going to be covered by vinyl siding. I plan to insulate the wall pictured here before adding vinyl since it’s the west wall and will have significant heat gain in just a few months. I just need my wife to pick out the pattern & color she wants.

As usual, I didn’t get as far as I wanted, but the long-term weather forecast looks pretty good for next weekend. I need a full day to finish the roof and another for the doors. I’m also adding windows, but those can wait until the structure is complete.

Things are afoot at work, so I may end up with more time to work on the building. More to come as that situation develops!

There’s a big party/parade in the neighborhood next to mine and this means no parking in my neighborhood and lots of drunks wandering around, camping out in my front yard and pissing on the side of my house. I have a good parking space with lots of space around me, and I plan on staying at home until this is over so I don’t have to park a mile away. I guess I should be OK if I go grocery shopping at 2 in the morning, but I’m OK for now.

That sucks. I’m not a fan of any of this, but my wife loves the parades as long as they are ‘family friendly.’ I don’t like her taking the kids without me because it usually means a trip to New Orleans and the parades are becoming less friendly as the years go by. New Orleans isn’t my favorite place and can be downright dangerous if you aren’t familiar with it.

Perhaps today’s parade won’t be as bad. We are going to Port Allen instead. We have friends over there who live a couple of blocks off the parade route.
